A Culinary Journey Through the Waterfront Dining Trail
Waterfront dining is part of the experience in the New Smyrna Beach Area, with restaurants offering views of the Atlantic Ocean and scenic inland waterways. The Waterfront Dining Trail brings together local restaurants where memorable meals come with views of the water.
The trail stretches through communities across the area, giving visitors an opportunity to discover seafood, Southern favorites, tropical drinks, and casual coastal dining while exploring different parts of the destination.
Aunt Catfish's on the River – Port Orange
Start in Port Orange at Aunt Catfish's on the River, a family-owned restaurant overlooking the Halifax River.
The restaurant specializes in Southern-style seafood and has built a following around its relaxed Old Florida atmosphere. Fresh seafood, ribs, and Southern favorites are featured alongside the restaurant's well-known cinnamon rolls, which have been served for more than 45 years.
The waterfront setting and family-friendly atmosphere make Aunt Catfish's a fitting introduction to the trail.
Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille
At New Smyrna Marina, Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille combines waterfront dining with views of the marina and Intracoastal Waterway.
Fresh seafood, cocktails, and other coastal favorites fill the menu, while outdoor seating provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy the marina atmosphere. Live music is also regularly featured, with schedules changing throughout the year.
The Grille at Riverview
The Grille at Riverview sits along the Indian River near the eastern end of the North Causeway, providing waterfront views just steps from Flagler Avenue.
Its menu includes seafood, steaks, pasta, salads, and cocktails, with outdoor seating offering a particularly scenic setting around sunset. The restaurant is also located next to The Riverview Hotel & Spa, making it a convenient dining option for guests staying nearby.
Crabby's Bar and Grill
Just off the Flagler Avenue beach approach, Crabby's Bar & Grill NSB brings the trail to the Atlantic side of New Smyrna Beach.
The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining, along with a second-floor open-air bar overlooking the ocean. Seafood takes a prominent place on the menu, with options including crab legs and Royal Red shrimp alongside pizza, sandwiches, and other casual favorites.
Crabby's also serves breakfast daily, giving visitors another opportunity to pair an ocean view with a meal.
Sea Vista Tiki Bar
Farther south on Atlantic Avenue, Sea Vista Tiki Bar offers a true oceanfront experience with direct access to the sand.
Located at Sea Vista Motel & Tiki Bar, the property was refreshed in 2025 with updates to its pool and tiki deck. The Tiki Bar is open to the public and features an oceanfront deck, fire pits, a full bar, and an on-site kitchen serving casual beachside food.
Its location directly on the Atlantic makes it an easy stop for those looking to enjoy a meal or drink with the ocean just steps away.
JB's Fish Camp
Near the southern end of New Smyrna Beach, JB's Fish Camp has been part of the local waterfront dining scene since the late 1970s.
Set along the area's lagoon system, JB's pairs Southern-style seafood with expansive water views and indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant also hosts live music on weekends, weather permitting.
The experience extends beyond dining. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available on-site through JB's Lagoon Adventures, making it possible to explore the surrounding waterways before or after a meal.
Goodrich Seafood and Oyster House – Oak Hill
Continue south to Oak Hill for Goodrich Seafood & Oyster House, a longtime local favorite overlooking Mosquito Lagoon.
The Goodrich family's connection to Oak Hill's seafood industry dates back to 1910, reflecting the community's longstanding connection to fishing and the lagoon. Today, visitors can enjoy seafood and waterfront views in a casual setting that feels closely connected to the area's heritage.
A stop at Goodrich also provides an opportunity to experience Oak Hill, the southernmost community in the New Smyrna Beach Area.
Toni & Joe's Patio
Back in New Smyrna Beach, Toni & Joe's Patio has been serving diners beside the Atlantic since 1958.
The family-owned restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with views of the ocean. Its outdoor patio features more than 20 tables where guests can enjoy the ocean breeze, and live entertainment is regularly scheduled on weekends and during special events.
Longtime menu favorites such as the steak hoagie connect today's dining experience with more than six decades of local history.
