There’s always something new to add to a visit in the New Smyrna Beach Area. Throughout the year, recurring events bring wine tastings, art strolls, classic cars, and other experiences to communities across the destination. From Flagler Avenue and Canal Street to Port Orange, these local traditions give visitors another way to experience the New Smyrna Beach Area during their stay.

Experience Flagler Avenue with Wine Walk

Flagler Avenue’s monthly Wine Walk gives visitors a chance to explore the district’s shops, restaurants, and gathering spots while enjoying a progressive wine tasting. Participants can purchase a tasting passport that includes 20 tasting tickets, a keepsake wine glass, and a map of participating locations along the avenue.

Held monthly throughout the year, Wine Walk makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the Beach District.

Discover Local Traditions on Canal Street

The Art & Artisan Strolls offer visitors a chance to explore Canal Street while browsing art, antiques, local shops, and sidewalk sales, with live music enhancing the experience. Held on the first Saturday of the month, the stroll makes it easy to spend time exploring the businesses and creative community throughout the historic district.

Car enthusiasts can also check out Classic Cars on Canal, which brings vintage and specialty vehicles to New Smyrna Beach's historic downtown on the second Saturday of each month, excluding July and August. Visitors can stroll among the cars on display while exploring Canal Street's shops, restaurants, and local businesses.

Explore Recurring Events in Port Orange

The Classic Cruise Car Show brings classic and vintage vehicles to Port Orange City Center on the second Saturday of each month. Hosted by the East Coast Cruisers Car Club, this recurring event invites visitors to browse an impressive lineup of classic cars while exploring another part of the New Smyrna Beach Area.

Saturday mornings also bring the Pavilion at Port Orange Farmers Market, where visitors can experience the local community through fresh produce, handmade crafts, gourmet food, and live entertainment.

Celebrate Coastal Catch Restaurant Month in October

Each October, Coastal Catch Restaurant Month brings participating restaurants across the New Smyrna Beach Area together for a month-long celebration of local cuisine. Throughout the month, diners can explore exclusive prix-fixe menus and specialty dishes highlighting fresh ingredients, creative culinary talent, and the distinctive flavors of Florida’s coast.
