Here’s what’s happening in the New Smyrna Beach Area over the July 4th weekend:

Riverside Park Fireworks & Family Fun

Friday, July 4, 4 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Riverside Park, New Smyrna Beach
Kick off your Fourth of July with family fun, food trucks, and music from DJ Tom. Bring your lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and settle in for a spectacular fireworks display over the Indian River at 9:15 p.m.

Fourth of July Spectacular, Port Orange

Friday, July 4, starts at 5:30 p.m.
Port Orange City Center
This popular event has it all: live music from "Are Friends Electric", a car show, food trucks, inflatables, and even pie-baking and watermelon-eating contests. The night ends with a fireworks finale.

EDGEfest, the July 4th Celebration

Friday, July 4, starts at 6 p.m.
Menard May Park and Kennedy Park, Edgewater
Head south to Edgewater for an evening filled with local vendors, tasty bites, and fireworks at dusk. It’s a laid-back, family-friendly celebration with small-town charm.

Firecracker 5K Beach Run/Walk

Saturday, July 5, starts at 8 a.m.
Flagler Avenue Boardwalk, New Smyrna Beach
Lace up your running shoes for this chip-timed race along the shore. Offering runners a unique beachside experience, complete with commemorative shirts, finisher medals, and post-race refreshments provided by local favorite Flagler Tavern.

BBQ Challenge on Flagler Avenue

Saturday, July 5, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Flagler Avenue, New Smyrna Beach
Calling all foodies! Sample BBQ from a variety of local pitmasters as you stroll along the avenue. Then vote for your favorite to help crown this year’s “Best at the Beach.”

Post-Independence Day Clean Up

Monday, July 7, 8:30 a.m.
27th Avenue Beach Access, New Smyrna Beach
Wrap up the holiday weekend by giving back to the beach. Join the New Smyrna Beach Area Visitors Bureau for a community cleanup. Supplies are provided—just bring water and sun-safe gear.

Family-Friendly Beach Activities

For a more relaxed day, visit Smyrna Dunes Park, a 73-acre park offering a boardwalk leading to a pristine beach. It's an ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles. Families can bring their own grills for a classic beachside barbecue.

Whether you're running on the beach, sampling BBQ, or watching fireworks with your family, New Smyrna Beach offers a delightful setting to celebrate the Fourth of July. With its blend of coastal beauty and community spirit, it's a destination that promises lasting memories.
