Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary in New Smyrna Beach This Fourth of July Weekend

There’s never been a better time to celebrate Independence Day in New Smyrna Beach.

As the United States marks its 250th anniversary on July 4th, the New Smyrna Beach Area is pulling out all the stops with a weekend full of fireworks, live entertainment, waterfront experiences, family-friendly activities and delicious food. Whether you're spending the holiday with family, gathering with friends or planning a beach getaway, there are plenty of ways to join the celebration.

Start the Day with the Beach Firecracker 5K

Kick off the holiday bright and early with the annual Beach Firecracker 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, July 4. Beginning at 8 a.m. from the Flagler Avenue beachfront, this chip-timed race takes participants directly along the sand for one of the area's most scenic runs.

Open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, the event includes commemorative race shirts, finisher medals and a post-race party at Flagler Tavern. Registration is $30.

Enjoy the Fireworks from the Brannon Center VIP Lounge

Looking for a comfortable way to celebrate? The Brannon Center's 4th of July VIP Lounge offers indoor viewing of the New Smyrna Beach fireworks along with live music, a cash bar and food trucks.

Held from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the event provides a relaxed waterfront setting to enjoy the festivities while celebrating America's 250th birthday.

Head to Port Orange for the 4th of July Spectacular

Just minutes from New Smyrna Beach, Port Orange's annual 4th of July Spectacular returns with an expanded celebration honoring America 250.

Guests can enjoy a fireworks display paired with a drone show, live performances by Are Friends Electric and The Navy Band Southeast's Pride, a classic car show, inflatables, games, food trucks and patriotic competitions including pie baking and watermelon eating contests.

Watch Fireworks from the Water

For a unique perspective on the holiday festivities, hop aboard Toon Tiki Charters' 4th of July Fireworks Cruise.

This adults-only cruise takes guests onto the Indian River for front-row views of the New Smyrna Beach fireworks display from the water. Tickets are $70 per person and space is limited.
